Our Meet the Buyer sessions connect exciting up-and-coming food and drink brands with the buying teams at the UK's leading retailers and food service operator. They help challenger brands build their network, secure listings and get insider insight into the UK food and drink landscape.

These sessions offer a unique opportunity to secure sales, get invaluable feedback and build your professionak network. They are only open to Mission Kitchen members.

About The Yard Theatre.

The Yard Theatre is a permanent fixture in the UK's cultural scene, originally founded as a three-month pop-up and now celebrating 14 years of innovative theatre in Hackney Wick. They are rebuilding a bigger, state-of-the-art venue, reopening summer 2026. The new theatre will feature a 220-seat auditorium, hireable studios, and a flexible social space, programming new plays, cabaret, reimagined classics, and community events for an anticipated 50,000+ visitors in its first year.

The Brief:

The Yard Theatre are looking to source ‘handy’ and tasty snacks to keep people going when attending shows. Products should be:

  • Easy and ready to serve
  • Handy snacks that need to be tasty, light and fast (to serve and to eat) for pre-theatre and during intervals.
  • Sustain audiences affordably during peak theatre operating hours (6-10pm).
  • Retail price under £10 per snack
  • Pairs well with drinks
  • It should tempt people to hang around for more, after the show, or buy some for the journey home. It is easy to serve, within 3-5 mins after order is placed.

About the Event:
If you are selected to take part, you will be given a 15 minute slot to meet with the buying team, present your product and answer questions.

Following the event, Mission Kitchen will provide feedback from the buying team, and if they are keen to progress a commercial conversation you will be put in touch directly.

Requirements:

  • Be a member of the Mission Kitchen Network
  • Register for this event and provide the necessary application information
  • Be availabe to attend an in-person meeting at Mission Kitchen during the specified event time.
  • Come to your meeting prepared to pitch, with product samples and information on pricing, MOQs, and all other commercial requirements.

Applications for this session will close on Sunday 26th April at 23:59. If you are selected, we will contact you by Wednesday 29th April to confirm a time slot and clarify any specific requirements.
