Lessons in Legal: Protecting your brand

About the event

Three free Legal Masterclasses for Mission Kitchen members

Running a successful food business involves much more than creating a great product. From protecting your brand and selling online to keeping up with changing regulations, understanding your legal responsibilities can help you avoid costly mistakes and build stronger foundations for growth.

Mission Kitchen members are invited to join a series of three free online legal masterclasses designed specifically for food and drink businesses, brought to you by AK Collective. Delivered as three 30-minute sessions across three weeks, the series will provide practical, jargon-free guidance on some of the key legal issues facing founders today.

Members can join all three or join individual sessions. Each session is designed to deliver a practical legal toolkit to help businesses grow with confidence.

Session 1: Protecting your brand, intellectual property essentials

Your brand is one of your most valuable business assets, but many founders are unsure how best to protect it. This session will introduce the fundamentals of intellectual property for food and drink businesses, helping members understand what can be protected, when protection is needed and the practical steps they can take to safeguard their brand. The session will be led by Kristy and Amy at AK Collective and will cover trade marks, brand names, logos, packaging, copyright and design rights.
