Founder Q&A: Get Baked & Willy's Pies

About the event

Join us for some lively discussion about the highs and lows of making it in the food business world. At these talks, the UK's leading voices will be sharing their stories about how they built their food businesses, and some of the valuable lessons they learned along the way.

This is an open session for aspiring food founders where we encourage participants to get involved, ask questions and apply ideas to their own projects and businesses.

For this Q&A, we will be learning from Rich Myers, founder of Get Baked, and Joshua Hill & Will Lewis, co-founders of Willy's Pies:

Get Baked is the brainchild of Rich Myers, aka Mr Sprinkles, who started making decadent desserts in 2015, leading to him to create the world's first dessert delivery brand. Based in Leeds, Rich and his team have wowed customers with their gigantic Bruce cakes, brownies, cookies, and puddings - all available at their Headingly shop and delivered direct to customers doors... but you have to be quick: Rich's unique social media persona has garnered a huge following, meaning Bruce cakes frequently sell out within minutes!

Willy's Pies started as a lockdown idea, with Will making pies in his home kitchen to break up the day after being furloughed from his job as a chef (Will had previously worked at London institutions St John, Rochelle Canteen, and Brat). Based on a deep love of the British classic, Will and co-founder Josh churn out pies generously filled with the likes of ox cheek & guinness, roast chicken, pancetta and sage, and cauliflour, leek and Neal's Yard cheddar, for both home delivery and wholesale. Everything is still handmade but at a bigger scale in their archway in London Fields.

Tickets include post-Q&A networking drinks and samples from the speakers.
