For this Q&A, we will be learning from Amelia Christie-Miller, founder of Bold Bean Co, and Joe Hill, co-founder of One Planet Pizza.
Bold Bean Co are on a mission to make us obsessed with beans! Amelia's journey started after tasting natural, creamy hierloom beans straight from the jar as an exchange student in Spain. After three years of working in the food sustainability space with top London chefs, a little legume appreciation turned into a full on obsession. Amelia wasn't just inspired by restaurants using high quality beans creatively, but also learned from those around her in food sustainability, Amelia realised that BEANS WILL CHANGE THE WORLD, someone just needs to start spreading the gospel.
One Planet Pizza is also on a mission to make food better for people and planet through their out of this world vegan pizza. Joe started making pizzas with his dad in 2014, aiming to create a much better quality frozen vegan pizza. As the business grew, they made the transition from home garage, to professional kitchen, to a large factory in the Netherlands. Now One Planet Pizza is stocked in Asda, Ocado, and over 500 independent stores, helping people to reduce their carbon footprint through their everyday food choices.
