Our Meet the Buyer sessions connect exciting up-and-coming food and drink brands with the buying teams at the UK's leading retailers and food service operator. They help challenger brands build their network, secure listings and get insider insight into the UK food and drink landscape.

These sessions offer a unique opportunity to secure sales, get invaluable feedback and build your professionak network. They are only open to Mission Kitchen members.

Old Spike Roastery is one of London's leading independent coffee brands, operating 6 locations around the city. They are a social enterprise focussed on supporting the homeless and 65% of their profits are directed into offering barista training, personal support and employment opportunities to people who have experienced homelessness.

The Brief:
Old Spike Roastery have a focus on two areas:

"Grab & Go" Products: that can work in a fast-paced café environment. This could include packaged products or fresh baked goods and confectionary. Specifically they are looking for:

  • Drinks
  • Snacking
  • Baked Goods
  • Confectionary
  • Frozen Desserts

Pop-Up Brands: Caterers or Traders who might be interested in collaborating on a more involved food offer at 1 or 2 of Old Spike's larger sites, with a view to collaboration on a permanent menu, or short-term residencies.

About the Event:
If you are selected to take part, you will be given a 15 minute slot to meet with the buying team, present your product and answer questions.

Following the event, Mission Kitchen will provide feedback from the buying team, and if they are keen to progress a commercial conversation you will be put in touch directly.

Requirements:

  • Be a member of the Mission Kitchen Network
  • Register for this event and provide the necessary application information
  • Be availabe to attend an in-person meeting at Mission Kitchen during the specified event time.
  • Come to your meeting prepared to pitch, with product samples and information on pricing, MOQs, and all other commercial requirements.

Applications for this session will close on Monday 10th June at 5pm. If you are selected, we will contact you by Thursday 13th June to confirm a time slot and clarify any specific requirements.
