Founder Q&A: Better Nature and Hunter & Gather

About the event

For this Q&A, we will be learning from Chris Kong, co-founder of Better Nature and Amy Moring, co-founder of Hunter & Gather.

Chris Kong is CEO & Co-Founder of Better Nature Tempeh. Better Nature is one of the UK's leading and fastest-growing all-natural meat-free brands having almost 4x revenues in the last 24 months. Tempeh is a naturally delicious Indonesian food made simply from cultured soybeans and water. It's high in protein and fibre, and 1 of your 5 a day, as well as being quick and easy to cook.

Since launching in 2020, Better Nature is now available nationwide in 570 Tesco stores, Planet Organic, Whole Foods Market and hundreds of independent retail stores. They also supply a number of foodservice customers such as Mindful Chef, Allplants, Pure, and Bidfood. Chris and his team are on a mission to make simple, nutritious and tasty food to be available to as many people as possible.

Amy Moring is the CEO & Co-Founder of Hunter & Gather. As a lifelong coeliac, Amy always looked at the back of foods for their ingredients and over the years, she's been shocked by the number of added sugars, chemical preservatives, and unrecognisable ingredients being added to food.

Along with her partner Jeff, Amy was inspired to start Hunter & Gather to create a cross-category lifestyle brand encompassing a range of healthy kitchen staples, condiments and supplements all free from refined sugar, grains, and inflammatory seed/veg oils. They are a registered B-Corp and their products can be found on the shelves of Whole Foods, Ocado, Booths, Holland & Barrett and more.
